In 2003 left my native New Jersey and my career in healthcare to focus solely on what my heart wanted: to discover what was beyond the Atlantic ocean.

Now residing in Greece; the Mediterranean landscape and constant echo of Ancient Greece is where I find inspiration.

My photography and writing is a meditation on the Ancient World and the emotion this region provokes. From the local mysteries, to lesser known archaeological sites, and epic battles this very soil witnessed. Every single one of these fuels my passion for projects that breathe life into this ancient realm and most importantly, in tribute to the legacy of the ancient world.

There is still so much to learn from the Greeks.

Whispers from Greece is a tribute to them.

  • Anastasia, thank you for that. It is wonderful to be on the same brainwave. 🙂 Also, I was just looking at your website, it is beautiful!

  • I was really moved by your words about the Greeks. I feel about the same being half Kefalonian and half German. How much hospitality, help, support, friendlyness and generousity I found there! This really is a country to learn from. Did you visit Kefalonia yet?

    • Thank you! I have not been to Kefalonia. However after seeing your pictures I am inspired to visit. Could you recommend any archeological sites or museums on the island?

      • if you visit “allkefalonia.com” for instance you can see what archeological sites there are. I haven’t visited so many such places, but love the old Italian fortress in Assos which is a very beautiful place as you pass one of the most beautiful beaches of the world. The best Museum is in Argostoli, the main city.

        • Thank you! I will check it out! 😀
